A typical OEM loop has three layers: lab sample, packed pre-series, frozen production recipe. Texture, scent and colour live in the first. Pump, leak and label readability live in the second. The third freezes the weigh sheet and process instruction.
A loose “we like it” email leaves later batch drift open to argument. Date, version code and a signature on the physical sample are better. Each change request gets a new version; the old sample is archived.
